One fun fact about myself is I rarely watch television. Instead, I am usually reading a book. Additionally, I love trying new restaurants, and it is a goal of mine to always try at least one restaurant each month.

About Me

As a tutor, I will help students achieve their academic goals. I also plan to help students uncover their prior knowledge as well as show them how to apply it to their current lessons. As a former math teacher, my goal is to continue making a difference in the world through tutoring.

Experience

I am a former Mathematics teacher of twelve years. Eleven years of my teaching experience was at the high school level and one year was at the middle school level. Subjects that I have taught throughout my teaching career include 8th Grade Mathematics, Algebra 1, Geometry, and Algebra 2.

Approach

My teaching style is one that is patient. Additionally, I help students understand mathematics by relating the concepts to real life. As a former teacher, I found students understood concepts and retained information when they could relate the information with things they are familiar with. It is my responsibility to help them make those connections.
