Fun Facts

I am the youngest of seven! I played French horn for seven years and took voice lessons for four years. I spent a year abroad in France and have visited eleven countries.

About Me

I am in the first year of my Creative Writing MFA at the washington">University of Washington, Bothell. I love reading and writing, and I'm deeply passionate about inspiring and encouraging the next generation of authors. My goal is to one day become a literary agent and help others tell their stories.

Experience

As an AmeriCorps member, I had the opportunity to work with 2nd and 3rd graders to improve their reading and math scores, both of which we were able to improve by 80%, on average. During my senior year of university, I worked in my school's writing center, where I helped clients develop the best essays possible, in terms of both content and execution.

Approach

Everyone has a deeply unique story to tell, and I'm interested in hearing it! I want to make learning fun and individualized, because I always had teachers who encouraged me and worked with me personally to reach my potential. My approach is definitely relationship-based, as I believe that students work better and are more invested if you can show that you know them and truly want to see them succeed.
