Fun Facts

I love children and wanted to change the world as a kid and an adult told me I couldn’t. Then I knew I wanted to work with kids forever. I love painting, I LOVE ELA. My favorite period in history is The Harlem Renaissance. My overall purpose is to give kids a purpose, positivity, and a confident feeling about their abilities in education that can be applied daily and they can be all their hearts desire to be in changing the world!

About Me

I’m currently an employment specialist and a part-time tutor. I graduated from Middle Creek High School in 2007 and I received my BA in English Language and Literature with a minor in Spanish in 2012 from Fayetteville State University. From 2012 until 2020, I coached sports, mentored students, and been a TA and a substitute teacher for WCPSS. I have also worked in childcare and taught K through 3rd grade. I love kids and I know they are my passion. I just want to make a difference in their lives.

Experience

I am currently working as a tutor and I enjoy being able to help scaffold in ways that are enjoyable for children. I try to combine a little of my old school learning with some new school to bridge any gaps that are the potentially to occur.

Approach

As a child, I didn’t love to read but once I started middle school, I figured out the power in my words and my writing, and I’ve been in love ever since with ELA
