Fun Facts

One passion that I have is I love cheerleading. I cheered from elementary school until high school. I also have a HUGH passion in home renovations and improvements. My favorite t.v. channel is HGTV, and I plan on being on a show on this channel. Fingers crossed!

About Me

I am a recent graduate of Georgia State University with my bachelor of science in chemistry. I have two children and strive to show them they can achieve their goals of whatever they set their mind to. I always wanted to be an orthodontist, but had a change of heart. Even though I am actively looking for position n my field, I always plan on working with children and them being a part of my life.

Experience

At IUPUI, as a member of Student Support Services , I worked with college level students tutoring math and science. I worked as a private tutor in my hometown of Elkhart, IN as well. Also when I attended IUPUI, worked for the Dept. of Tourism, Conventions, and Event Mgmt. as a camp counselor/ mentor. I also have done volunteer work with Atlanta Science Festival. I have a lot of experience with kids, and could further my interactions with the community by working with Frog tutoring.

Approach

As a child I always thought I knew what I wanted to do with my life. Throughout my college career, more connections and opportunities have opened my eyes. Becoming the Special Events Coordinator for Georgia State Chem Club helped me to become more hands-on and interactive when dealing with kids. It keeps things fun, and makes them want to learn.

Arts Tutoring

I took ceramics in college for 2 years, and was great at it. I excelled, and my grades reflected that.

Calculus I Tutoring

I took calculus 1 and 2. I also used it while taking physics and physical chemistry.

Chemistry I Tutoring

I finished all my degree requirements, this is an easy subject. I passed all my chemistry claases and this would not be a challenge to tutor this subject.

Chemistry II Tutoring

I have passed all my chemistry classes up to including physical chemistry, spectroscopy, and chromatography.

Math Tutoring

I was always good at math. I passed all my math classes, which i feel qualifies me to tutor this subject.

I have learned mechanisms and through my senior research learned more in dept organic reactions.
